Meet Aubrey Wright, WFIU/WTIU'S new higher education reporter

Hi Bloomington! I’m Aubrey Wright, your new higher education reporter and Report for America Corps Member.

I’m originally from Ohio, but I’m excited to live and work with Hoosiers for the first time!

In my new role, I’ll be covering everything from universities and technical colleges to workforce development in the state. Indiana is home to renowned colleges and massive community college systems that impact thousands of people — students, employees, parents, alumni — every day.

Aubrey Wright currently covers higher education in Bloomington, Indiana. As a Report for America Corps Member, she works in Indiana Public Media WFIU/WTIU's newsroom. She produces radio, TV and digital stories. Her work focuses on equity in Indiana's post-secondary education institutions.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a BA in Journalism. She has experience in multimedia journalism and university communications. She previously served as Managing Editor of The Lantern, Ohio State's independent student news organization, and a full-time Metro Desk Intern for The Columbus Dispatch.
